Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American Sportcaster. She works as an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation sometimes. She started working at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was a bilingual since the age of nine years old, a valuable skills that helped her get her first position as a production assistant for Univision in Miami that gave her an opportunity to work with producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. After this it was announced that the CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter in the sport field. She moved in 2009 to Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. They eventually moved into Mexico City where she was born on 22 November 1985. There is also a sister. Her family relocated to Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. They divorced soon after and in 1995, she got married to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. She stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister throughout the summer when she was approached for the opportunity of a job. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she was certain of her goals for the future. She visited Mount Union University to find out if the school was suitable for her. She loved the campus. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. She finished her education and received a scholarship to the University to pursue a degree in Media studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU Radio and was student in her class, developed a lasting relationship with the student. Professor Mark Bergmann influenced her by his passion for journalism. The professor also had a profound impact on her.
